Ogni occhiale è confezionato con cura, ogni lente a contatto viene accompagnata da assistenza dedicata: il nostro obiettivo è garantirti comfort visivo, stile e tranquillità. Con noi, la tua vista è seguita passo dopo passo, in un ambiente accogliente e professionale.
Da oltre un secolo e mezzo, l’Istituto Ottico Zanetta unisce la tradizione artigianale alla tecnologia più moderna per prendersi cura della tua vista con passione e competenza.
La storia
L’istituto ottico Zanetta è il negozio più antico d’Italia appartenuto alla stessa famiglia; infatti ha visto ben cinque generazioni: Carlo, Alberto, Carlo, Anna Maria e Andrea sono stati e sono gli orgogliosi proprietari di questo negozio storico.
Era il 1881 quando Carlo Zanetta decise di aprire in Corso San Martino a Torino la sua attività di fabbricazione di occhiali, iniziò così la famiglia Zanetta: producendo montature.
All’epoca gli occhiali venivano portati per necessità, non per moda e non c’era la vasta gamma di forme, colori e materiali che ci sono oggi, erano chiamati pince-nez che in italiano significa letteralmente “stringinaso”.
Non avevano stanghette e solo due erano le forme possibili: tonda o ovoidale, il materiale utilizzato era chiamato platinè e i naselli erano in sughero.
Il modello che produceva la famiglia Zanetta è quello che ancora li rappresenta raffigurato nel loro marchio.

ia Cernaia nasceva allora e si è subito presentata come una via di negozi e con un forte traffico e un buon passaggio grazie anche alla vicinanza con la stazione di Porta Susa.
Quando il negozio fu aperto in Via Cernaia i negozi di ottica erano pochissimi a Torino e quindi la clientela arrivava anche dalle province; lungo questi 100 e più anni la famiglia Zanetta ha servito intere generazioni, dai nonni ai nipotini.
Il negozio da allora ne ha fatta di strada ed è stato testimone della storia e del progresso di Torino. Nel corso dei suoi anni infatti ha assistito a numerosi fatti storici; dal primo sciopero generale al diritto al voto delle donne, dalla prima guerra mondiale alla seconda guerra mondiale, ha visto la monarchia diventare una repubblica, l’ascesa del fascismo in Italia, è sopravvissuto alla crisi del primo dopoguerra fino alla ripresa negli anni ’50, ha visto l’avvento della televisione, della radio, dei primi cellulari e dei computer.
Durante questi anni Via Cernaia è cambiata molto, il ciottolato della via si è trasformato in asfalto e i carri trainati da cavalli sono stati sostituiti dalle auto, sono arrivati i semafori e il traffico del centro città e mentre tutto intorno al negozio cambiava esso rimaneva tale ammodernandosi secondo le esigenze degli anni che avanzano, ma caratterizzato sempre dalla stessa professionalità e serietà dei suoi proprietari.
